During the 2008 Christmas season, young people and others were voicing that it seemed like everybody was replacing the phrase “Merry Christmas” with only “Happy Holidays.” And it was a concern around the world. It reminded Dr. Emma Jean Thompson of the Bible verse that said “there was no room for them in the inn” (Luke 2:7). It was as though, again, room was not being made for Jesus Christ. Dr. Thompson joined in with the young people and helped them to launch MakeRoom4Jesus.com.
The purpose of the site is to provide an opportunity for others to sign up to say they believe that room should be made for Jesus by continuing to honor Him all through the year, especially on His birthday which is Christmas and at Easter, which is His Resurrection. So by Easter time, in Jesus Name, there will be thousands of people that have signed up.
